Jamie Pugh says Tracey would be Proud
Jamie Pugh has been speaking for the first time to WalesOnline about the death of his first wife Tracey.
Jamie impressed the audience and judges with his rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Misérables.
But Jamie, who is currently second favourite to win the show after Susan Boyle – said he deliberately didn’t reveal that his wife Tracey died from a brain tumour 10 years ago because he didn’t want the sympathy vote.
Jamie said: “It was a wicked thing to happen, it was unbearable.
“Tracey would be proud of me, but everybody has a history and I chose not to dwell on it.
“Things like this devastate millions of families.”
He added that he didn’t want to become like Daniel Evans on last year’s X Factor, who was accused of taking advantage of the fact that his wife Jacqueline had died six days after giving birth.
He said: “It’s like Daniel Evans in last year’s X Factor. People latched on to him because of his sob story.
“I don’t want that. It’s not what this competition is about.”
Daniel Who?
Good for you, Jamie!
30,000 and counting…
So far over 30,000 people have watched the audition of Jamie Pugh on YouTube. Jamie is now being seen as a rival to Susan Boyle, although he has yet to match the number of people (50,000,000) who have watched Susan’s audition to date. Nevertheless, Jamie’s audition has only been on the site for two days, Susan’s has been there for more than 3 weeks now.
Jamie is now second favourite to win the competition, which would give him a £100,000 prize and the opportunity to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Show.
Jamie’s audition has yet to attract the 50 million YouTube hits Susan Boyle’s clip has enjoyed, but his performance was enough to make him second favourite to win the TV competition.
Piers Morgan Gets Txts About Jamie Pugh
In The Sun newspaper today, Piers Morgan stated that he has received more texts about Pizza Delivery man Jamie Pugh than he did about the Hairy Angel, Susan Boyle. Piers said: “I’ve never had so many texts about one contestant.
“We could all tell just what it meant to him to be fulfilling his dream. He got a standing ovation from 2,000 people. Nobody can take that away.”
I have some questions that need answering though. Who are all these people who are texting Piers? How do they have his phone number? Are they texting Simon Cowell aswell? Have you texted Piers or Simon? Did you get a reply? Post on this site if you did, we’d love to hear about it.

Now, when Demi posted a video of Susan Boyle on her website, thousands of people viewed it and the rest is history.
Could the same thing be about to happen for Jamie Pugh?

Jamie Pugh hidden tragedy revealed
The Sunday People have revealed a secret tragedy that Jamie Pugh kept hidden from the millions of viewers and judges of Britain’s Got Talent last night. His wife died from a brain tumour when she was just 27 years old.
Jamie Pugh’s friends have revealed that the former RAF engineer was “a broken man” 10 years ago when his wife Tracey died – leaving Jamie to bring up son, three year old Callum, alone.
The friend added: “It’s still tough for Jamie. He didn’t want to break down talking about Tracey on air.”
Jamie told his friends that he didn’t reveal his private heart ache because he didn’t want the “sympathy vote”.
However, now Jamie has a new love in his life, Donna Davies, 35 years old, who supported him through his audition for Britain’s Got Talent. And the two have a son together – Ethan, three. Jamie credits Donna with helping him beat the stage fright which has prevented him from reaching his potential in the past.
It has been revealed that Jamie failed the first round of auditions last year when he couldn’t even speak his name. But Donna put his name forward again and accompanied him to the auditions.
Jamie said: “Donna was the reason I had the courage to go for it. I am petrified of singing in public – my hands shake and I completely clam up. I thought the audience at the audition were going to throw tomatoes at me, so I was amazed with the response.”
Last night’s performance from Jamie was stunning and he is now truly in a position to challenge the supremacy of Susan Boyle. He said: “I want to try singing. I need to find out who I am and if I can do this for real.”

Jamie Pugh could take Britain’s Got Talent Crown from Susan Boyle

Jamie Pugh on Britain's Got Talent
Jamie Pugh could win Britain’s Got Talent, according to the producers at Britain’s Got Talent. They are claiming that he can challenge her supremacy in the competition after his performance of Bring Me Home on Saturday night.
Even though Jamie Pugh was terrified that his stage fright would make him falter, there was no sign of any trepidation in his performance, as he left the audience and the judges visibly stunned. According to the Daily Star, a source at the show said: “People have dismissed this as a one-horse race but Jamie proves this isn’t the case.
“He was incredibly nervous but has a fabulous voice. He gave a real tear jerking performance. Like Susan he’s just an ordinary person with an incredible talent.”
Jamie Pugh Conquers Stage Fright to Wow Judges on Britain’s Got Talent

Jamie Pugh, a pizza delivery man from Wales, has overcome stage fright to wow the judges on TV talent show Britain’s Got Talent.
Like fellow competitor Susan Boyle, Jamie Pugh sang a song from Les Miserables and left the judges astounded by his performance of Bring Him Home.
Saturday’s auditions were held in Cardiff. However, Jamie Pugh waiting backstage was feeling really nervous. Incredibly nervous, in fact. He hadn’t slept properly for the three nights before his audition, and was concerned that his nerves would get the better of him.
Jamie, 37 years old and a pizza delivery man, explained: “I suffer from severe stage fright, it has totally crippled me, and I’ve come today to see if I can get through 3 minutes.”
It is difficult to sing when nervous, as nerves can constrict the throat leading to an uncontrollable warble. An uncontrolled warble would not impress the Britain’s Got Talent judges.
Jamie continued: “In the day time I work three days a week driving a van and in the evenings I deliver pizza. I’m just a simple bloke from the Valleys, but my dream is to sing at the Royal Variety in front of a live orchestra”.
However, Jamie’s biggest worry is his intense stage fright – he doesn’t want to walk out on stage and not be able to perform his best. With his partner Donna watching nervously from the audience, he hoped and prayed that he would be able to pull off the performance of his lifetime.
Fortunately, Jamie’s performance was stunning, emotional and without fault. The judges became entranced by his voice and the whole theatre gave him a standing ovation. The expression of joy and shock on Jamie’s face were reminiscent of the aftermath of Susan Boyle’s performance.
The judges were stunned. Amanda Holden said: “It is a beautiful song and that was amazing,” and Piers Morgan adding: “I wasn’t expecting that kind of performance from you. You deliver pizza’s at night for goodness sake and you come on this stage, one of the biggest talent shows in the world and do a performance like that, I thought it was incredible.”
Simon Cowell finished off the comments with: “I think I just got how important the last three minutes of your life just were, and to get the reaction you just got from the audience must be unbelievable. It’s people like you that are the reason why we come to Wales every year, I think you could be a special talent, but you have to start believing in yourself.”
Jamie, as he left the stage declared: “for this brief moment I feel complete”.
